About Our 3D Printed Earrings

Materials We Use

Our earrings are crafted using two primary types of 3D printing filaments:

PLA (Polylactic Acid): This is a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources like corn starch and sugarcane. It's eco-friendly compared to traditional plastics and offers vibrant colors with a smooth finish. PLA is lightweight and comfortable to wear all day.

PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol): This is a modified version of the plastic used in water bottles, but with added durability and flexibility. PETG earrings are more impact-resistant and slightly more flexible than PLA, making them ideal for everyday wear.

The Holographic Effect

The prismatic, color-shifting effect you see on our holographic designs creates a unique visual experience. The holographic elements capture and reflect light at different angles, producing that eye-catching rainbow effect that changes as you move.

Care Instructions

Temperature Sensitivity: Both PLA and PETG have relatively low melting points compared to traditional jewelry materials. Avoid leaving your earrings in hot environments like cars on sunny days or near heat sources, as this can cause warping.

Cleaning: Gently wipe your earrings with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust or fingerprints. Fingerprints may make holograms fade, but they'll be right back when cleaned. For more stubborn dirt, you can use a slightly damp cloth, but ensure they're completely dry afterward.

Hologram Care: The holographic elements require special attention:

• Avoid scratching the surface with fingernails or abrasive materials

• Keep away from water and moisture when possible

• Store in a jewelry box or pouch when not wearing to prevent scratches

Storage: Keep your earrings in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their vibrant colors and holographic properties.

In most cases, we can replicate one of the earrings you purchased from us, if you lost one. However, every piece that we create is slightly unique and in some instances impossible to reproduce.

Our earrings are made with 925 silver plated, hypoallergenic earring hooks.
